Why, my heart?

Why do you shine so fiercely that you make me tremble?

Why do you bathe everything you touch in unconditional beauty?

Have a little mercy on me.

Give me one more minute to roll around in my comfortable misery.

My laziness won't let me unglue my eyelids just yet.

All that light blinds me, divine existence.

It's easier to let myself be carried, half asleep, by my impulses and sensations.

It's simpler to believe my thoughts and forget my will.

Why do you insist, fire in my chest?

What do you have to show me?

What is this sun that throbs with life and color from inside me?

How unyielding you are.

Your vibration mercilessly floods my mind, which is slowly coming back to feeling.

All right, I'll listen to you.

I'll open my eyes and behold you.

I'll stop yawning and get up to put my things in order.

I'll meet kindred eyes and smile.

I'll do my work and my chores with zeal, and I'll bless this day.

Thank you, heart.
