Huh? Ancestors?

Huh? Ancestors? What a surprise! Joy floods me at seeing your glory before my eyes. My heart is glad to know that you have always been at my side, that I have never grazed alone the fields I have roamed. The love you inspire in me resounds in my spirit, making me exude the energy of life.

Let me tell you how we live here, doing the best we know, learning more each time. We do and undo, we fight and make peace, we deceive ourselves and discover ourselves. Each step in its proper time, each movement an unhurried dance of pulling and pushing, of trying and perfecting ourselves.

Don't worry about us. Someday we'll get it right. Someday we'll remember that we are all brothers. Someday we'll make up our minds to love. Someday we'll cherish this instant we neglect while waiting for that day.

Thank you for passing on to us the magic of being always alert. Thank you for giving us nothing but your divine light, which is denied to no one. Thank you, beloved ancestors, because though we cannot manage to remember you, you are always here, ever present.
