History tells us we are human...

History tells us that we are human, that we err at every step, that darkness rules us, that we blind ourselves, bent on hanging the trophy of happiness on our shelf.

History tells us that we trample everything, spellbound by stories, that we obtusely defend our ignorance, squandering excuses, that nothing matters to us but being important.

History tells us that we believe in ideals, that we believe what we do is sheltered by our wonderful aspiration, that we believe we are the best, that we believe we are reality.

Reality, however, tells us that history is not reality.

And so this fire tells us that history is only a story.

And so the silence tells us that we are here.
