The world doesn't matter. And it's not because the world doesn't matter.
The world doesn't matter. And it's not because the world doesn't matter. It's because, first, you matter.
Who are you? And what do you want? Do you know? Is what you know something solidly lived through every instant of your life, or is it something you believe, something you've heard, something instilled in you without question?
When you recognize yourself, when you are fully yourself, you will know what you want, you will know what matters. You, so divine that you have no name, and so human that your name resounds in an individual of a certain race, tradition, customs, flaws and skills.
When you don't need to raise your voice to feel that you exist, when you don't need company to feel that you beat, when you don't need to change the world to feel that you are worth something, then, solidly seated on the throne that is your peace, you will see how the impermanence of things reigns. You will see how the world changes. You will see that the world doesn't matter, because before anything comes to matter, something has already changed.
And when nothing matters to you, you will see that everything is important. Then, you are happy.
