How to reach the heart?

How to reach the heart? Only through reason. Not the reason that claims to be right, but the reason that leaves nothing out. Not the reason that demands justice, but the reason that gives everything in return for nothing. Not the reason that founds theories, but the reason that knows nothing.

Why would anyone give up the comfort that shelters them? Why would anyone abandon all this they believe in, all this that keeps them alive, all this that builds their identity? Simply because their being asks it of them.

A man awakens when he grows bored of his madness, when Adam rises above his self-pitying sloth and lifts himself, alone, up to his glorious God. A sage reasons when he leads his horse and masters his dragon, never blind but never distracted. A heart opens when the mind listens and answers with acceptance.

The heart resounds in silence. Leaping into the abyss is its only reason.
