In the shade of routine, my yawns give away my stupor.

In the shade of routine, my yawns give away my stupor. Is there any nightmare more dreadful than going round and round the same thoughts over and over? Is there any worse slavery than being unable to stop believing the same ideas you take for certain? I want to escape the worn-out everyday I have turned into. How can I flee my laments when limitation chokes me so closely?

Oh, beloved freedom, turn your gaze to me and rescue me from my ignorance! Oh, clouded skies, part and make way for the light of the silent wisdom a new morning brings! I call on you, white peace. I want to learn to stay unmoved before the sorrows that press down on me. I want to plant a seed of joy and feed it with sweat and dedication until a titan of enthusiasm grows and fills every corner of my being.

Oh, Lord of hosts! Bring forth the Truth from me. And whatever is not true, let it pass from my perception, even if I myself pass away as a lie. Let my world be left empty if that makes way for the joy of existing. Come, Love. Give me the strength to live uprightly. And may my mouth, in its shrewd innocence, know only how to say: Thank you!
