Tell me, human being. Do you feel safe and protected under the feeling that everything is under control? Does it warm and comfort you when some part of you tells you that what you profess is true? Do you think life will take pity on you if you speak to it in a conciliatory tone while you hide your guilty hand?
Sensations, illusions, lies!
Oh, naive mortal! If you accepted that the world keeps going, unstoppable and swift, whether you bury your head in the ground or fly hopefully through your wonderful dreams, then perhaps you would react. If you saw how thrilling it is to fight, to fall, to die fighting and to get back up without being ruled by self-pity, without surrendering to your hunger for well-being and comfort, without giving in to the pleasantness of your drowsiness or the seduction of your scattered routine, then perhaps you would raise your sword and take on your life in peace.
If you truly perceived what you feel, you would believe in nothing but yourself. You would realize that your whole world is a fiction of chance. You would act as the playwright of your own comedy without forgetting that you are the actor. In fact, you would act, instead of just waiting for life to pass you by, clinging to your memories until death tears them from you for good.
Tell me, divine being. Do you wish to let go of the innocence of your sensations, including the sensation of letting everything go? Do you wish to live to the fullest while you are here? Do you wish to be free of yourself and know that everything is fine without having to convince yourself of it? Do you wish, in simple words, to be happy?
