If you want to be useful, do nothing.

If you want to help, let it run its course.

If you want to change the world, receive it just as it is.

Your resistance is grating on you.

Your fighting stance is breeding war.

Your frenzy is wiping out your joy.

Isn't the cause of evil setting yourself against it?

Isn't darkness the loathing of it?

Isn't hatred's enemy always hatred itself?

You cannot love.

But you can allow love to be.

You cannot change the world.

But you can witness this ever-changing world.

You cannot make peace.

But you can need nothing and be peace.

What does the sage do when the rain falls on them?

Brave and warlike, the sage gets wet.

This is the law of right action.
