The True Story of Genesis. Part Two
In this beginning of things, God is not one. God is two.
Above and below is God. Masculine and feminine is God. Absolute and manifest is God. Mutable and eternal is God.
The luminous God lives on high, seated, impassive, watching everything. Miracles may happen, disasters, civilizations, deaths, transformations, the end of the world. He only watches.
The Goddess is mother. Earth, Universe, Creation. Through Her everything exists, everything moves. Through Her everything is born, and to Her everything goes to die. She is the expression of Him.
And in Their image and likeness They created everything. Fractality is an inviolable rule. Among many species, the human one concerns us in particular. In Her image and after His likeness, we were created. From clay, fire and divine breath, we were created. Woman and man, we were created. Two, we were created. Equal to God, we were created.
Woman and man complement each other, though neither woman nor man is incomplete. Woman is Earth, Man is the Heavens, though neither is above the other. Woman is the Heart, Man is the Minds, though neither is closer to the center than the other. Woman is the shelter of the night, Man is the busyness of the day, though neither is more luminous than the other.
And the expression of God the mother drew near to the Woman. Perhaps she drew near to both, but the Man did not see her, distracted, gazing at the heavens. The Woman sat on the earth and spoke with the serpent.
The serpent Mother Goddess then set her a challenge:
"Behold, it will be night. Not because darkness is queen, but because there is day and there is night. Behold, it will be time to sleep. Perhaps you will seem to suffer with the pain of your brow, perhaps you will feel yourself giving birth with the weeping of your womb. You will sleep and play at hell. The darkness will make you believe you know, and the weight of duality will fall upon you. Good and evil will be your world, for the world is two.
But then dawn will come. You will sleep but you must wake. You will die but you must rise again. And in the darkest hour, I myself will shake you. I will slip into your mind so that you invent civilizations, so that you stage wars. Technology will draw you away from me, development will lead you astray. The system will oppress you, politics will massacre you. And so you will react and open your eyes. And so you will see the light of the sun warming your chest. Then, you will be as God.
And so, eons later, we are waking up. The stories are a dream, the night is a dream. Man and woman, we are a dream. The God and the Goddess are a dream. On waking, we are one, not two. Even better than one, even better than zero. We are the God, we are also the Goddess. We are nothing.
