Sometimes hardships make the knees of our weaknesses tremble. One situation or another, that suffocation or the other tension, this threat or that other dark scene. Fears corner us into a routine that tastes of sadness and ashes, or perhaps rebellion burns, irascible, hemmed in by helplessness.
Faced with things happening around us that demand our attention by invoking the need to survive, the mind lets itself be absorbed. Vision narrows, focused on urgent priorities that leave no room to look to the sides.
With the mind so closed, our imagination, which belongs to it, begins to tell stories boxed into only the subject the mind dictates. Normally free, our dreams now become obsessed with escaping a prison that we ourselves defend. And so the flowing energy stagnates in barren circles, and it is these that sweat the taste of sadness and ashes.
And what comes of feeling locked in? Well, we run away.
